I had a great time with my band yesterday doing a concert for Cornerstone Community Church in San Jose….we shared about the ongoing efforts of World Vision in Haiti, as well as the new challenges they are facing as a severe hurricane season approaches. Funds were raised, lots of folks pledged a one-year commitment to help the children of Haiti. Awesome!

July marks the 6 month anniversary of the devastating quake in Haiti. Many of you know I’ve been doing several benefit shows around the country to raise funds for children displaced from their homes and families. I’m excited to be speaking on songwriting at this year’s IMMERSE MUSIC TRAINING CONFERENCE in Nashville from July 28-31. I’ll be joining some incredible songwriters, artists and industry professionals for a weekend of talent competition and training experience for Christian artists, songwriters, worship leaders and future music business professionals. Some of you know I write for lots of other projects besides my own albums, and this CD is a diverse and eclectic group of songwriting demos I’ve done for film/TV, mainstream pop, and other niche projects. They’re some of my favorites from the past few years, and all are collaborations with some incredible writer/producer friends.

Several of the songs have already been licensed to major network television, movies, professional photographers, airlines, and more. It’s a really fun collection and I can’t WAIT for you to hear it, turned up loud in your car on one of these warm summer days! (it just FEELS like a summer release to me…..) We’re anticipating it will be ready to ship near the end of the month.
